Of Two New Directors to Board

New directors are retired military officers

 

Moorpark, CA (August 25, 2016) – Federal Defense Industries (FDI), a leader in military logistics, announced today that its board of directors has elected two new members to the board.  They are retired Rear Admiral Dan Stone, SC, United States Navy and retired Brigadier General Ron Huntley, United States Air Force.

Rear Admiral Dan Stone served 36 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command and 43rd Chief of Supply Corps. While serving as Commander, he managed the Navy’s largest supply chain organization of over 25,500 military and civilian personnel, providing logistics support and services to U.S. and allied naval forces.  As Chief of Supply Corps, Stone was responsible for community management of more than 3,400 active and Reserve Supply Corps officers and some 27,000 active and reserve enlisted personnel.

Stone graduated from Villanova University and holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. He is highly decorated and is the recipient of various honors, including the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal (with bronze cluster) and the Navy Meritorious Service Medal (three gold stars).

Along with being an avid Dodgers fan, Stone enjoys spending time working on his 1979 MGB, and taking it on scenic drives with his wife Donna.

Brigadier General Ron Huntley retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 33 years. Prior to his retirement he was the Director of Financial Management and Comptroller at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado; and in that role he was responsible for fiscal resource planning, programming and execution for control processes, supporting the nation’s space and cyberspace operations. During his distinguished career, Huntley served in various capacities, including space, missile, and network operations; as commander at squadron, group and wing levels; he also completed an assignment with the Pentagon Joint Staff (J5).

Huntley received his Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and, among several degrees, earned a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategy from National War College, Washington, D.C.  He is currently serving as a consultant and motivational speaker, and teaches martial arts. He and his wife Ruth enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, family and friends.
