FDI QUALITY SYSTEM RE-CERTIFICATION AND UPGRADE

MOORPARK, CA. 31 AUGUST 2009: Federal Defense Industries, Inc. (FDI) Quality Systems Administrator, Tracy Sohn announced today that FDI has achieved an upgrade in its Quality Management System certification from ISO 9001:2000 to the standards of ISO 9001:2008. Sohn stated she was impressed but not surprised by the comment from the auditor of the agency that provided the re-certification and upgrade audit who stated: "Clearly FDI is 'walking the talk'".

The Quality Management System at FDI has been in place and maintained to ISO standards since 2001. Sohn credits the positive embracement of quality principles by all FDI employees as integral elements of the highly successful FDI business model.

Sohn also announced that FDI has been assessed and found to be in compliance with the requirements of the advisory circular, FAA-AC-00-56 Rev A, issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration. FAA-AC-00-56 Rev A establishes a civil aircraft parts accreditation system. This program shows that collaboration between industry and the FAA has improved the level of certitude in aviation parts, and, therefore, has raised the level of safety through a cooperative effort. The FAA strongly endorses participation in this system.
